Business insolvency FAQs

My company is struggling. When should I take advice?
Now, rather than later. The earlier you take advice, the more options are open and the better you can protect both the business and yourself as a director. An early call costs little and often changes the outcome.
Could I be personally liable for company debts?
Usually the company’s debts are the company’s, but that protection can fall away if you keep trading when you should not, or take certain steps once the company is insolvent. We advise you on where you stand and how to stay on the right side of the line.
Are you insolvency practitioners?
No. We are solicitors who advise directors and businesses on the law, their options and their duties, and we work alongside licensed insolvency practitioners where a formal appointment is needed.
Do you advise businesses across England and Wales?
Yes. We are based in Windsor with a London presence and advise directors and creditors throughout England and Wales, most of it handled remotely.
